I have been a part of the State Farm family since the day I got out of the Army in 2008. I first worked as an agent team member, then opened my own State Farm Agency in January of 2014.

My husband Ryan and I met while we were both serving in the military. He completed his Marine Corps enlistment right before I completed my time in the Army. We then moved to his home State of Florida, where I got my start with State Farm. My mother-in-law was an office manager at a State Farm agency. With her encouragement, I interviewed for a position as a team member. That meeting changed my life! I knew from that moment that becoming a State Farm Agent was the career for me. I focused my energy on preparing myself for the role, adding a business minor to my college courses, and I obtained all of the licenses I needed to run an agency. I spent five years training and working as a team member before I finally got the opportunity to have my own office.

As a local State Farm insurance agent, everything we do is focused on the customer. Being involved in our community is extremely important to my team and my family. We love SLO County and love our wonderful customers. Whatever your financial situation, it is our goal to provide you with informed, compassionate service that helps you get to what matters most.

Jennifer Pickens

Jenn is the Office Manager at our Atascadero location. She grew up in Atascadero where she attended Atascadero High School. Jenn was a member of the soccer and cheer teams (Go Greyhounds), and she still loves spending her evenings and weekend involved in sports.

Jenn graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. She spent her early working years in retail before moving to successful career in pharmaceuticals. After attending an insurance event with Courtney in 2022, Jenn decided to change career paths and put all of her energy into the insurance industry. Jenn brings wisdom, spirit, and a high energy drive to our San Luis Obispo location, with a goal of owning her own agency in the near future.

When she isn't working, Jenn enjoys watching her kids play baseball, softball, basketball, dance, and flag football.

Ryan was born and raised in Florida. He spent his early years in the Florida Keys, and Florida's Space Coast. He and his partner met while both were stationed in the Military District of Washington. They married not long after and have a wonderful little boy together.

Ryan graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo with a degree in Kinesiology. He continued his education through Eastern Washington University to become a Certified Recreation Therapist. Ryan spent six years working for the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero, also known as "ASH" from its former name, Atascadero State Hospital. When Courtney opened her second State Farm location, Ryan left his position at the state to become a licensed insurance agent, and help run the family business.

Ryan has a great sense of humor and loves to make talking about insurance more fun for State Farm customers.

LaDonna has been in the insurance industry for more than a decade now. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and an experienced problem solver. She works hard to give people accurate information, uncover needs, and get value out of their insurance dollars.

LaDonna is an amazing chef. Before coming to work for Courtney Morrow Insurance Agency Inc., LaDonna owned and operated her own restaurant in Atascadero where she formed close relationships with many locals in the community.
